Terms of service
TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: 25 September 2026
These Terms of Service apply to your use of the Collection Protection website and to purchases made from us.
Collection Protection is a trading name of PokéProtection Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”).
Our details are:
PokéProtection Ltd trading as Collection Protection
44 Harpur Street
Bedford
MK40 2QT
United Kingdom
Email: info@pokeprotection.co.uk
Our online store is powered by Shopify.
By using our website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms together with any other policies referred to in them.
Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
1. USING OUR WEBSITE
You may use our website only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
- use the website in breach of applicable law
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or associated systems
- introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code
- interfere with the security or operation of the website
- scrape, copy or extract website content by automated means where this infringes our rights or applicable law
- use the website fraudulently
- impersonate another person
- submit deliberately false or misleading information
We may restrict or suspend access to the website where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, suspected misuse or legal reasons.
2. PRODUCTS
We sell physical products through our online store.
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, specifications, prices and images are accurate.
However:
- colours may appear differently depending on your screen or device
- packaging may occasionally change
- minor manufacturing variations may occur
- measurements may be subject to reasonable tolerances
Any significant product characteristics will be described on the relevant product page.
Nothing in these Terms reduces your statutory rights. Under UK consumer law, goods supplied to consumers must meet requirements including being of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose where applicable and as described.
3. AVAILABILITY
All products are subject to availability.
Adding an item to your basket does not reserve it.
We may occasionally be unable to fulfil an order because, for example:
- stock is unavailable
- a product has been discontinued
- there has been a pricing or listing error
- we cannot deliver to the requested destination
- we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse
- an applicable legal or regulatory restriction prevents the sale
If we cannot fulfil an order that has already been paid for, we will refund the relevant amount.
4. PLACING AN ORDER
Before placing an order, you are responsible for checking that:
- the products and quantities are correct
- your delivery address is correct
- your billing and contact details are accurate
- you have selected the intended delivery service
Our checkout will make clear when placing an order creates an obligation to pay. UK online-selling rules require traders to make payment obligations and relevant pricing/delivery information clear before the customer places the order.
When you place an order, we will send an electronic acknowledgement.
An order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.
Unless we tell you otherwise, the contract for the purchase of the goods is formed when we confirm that the order has been accepted or dispatched.
If we cannot accept your order, we will tell you and refund any amount already taken for the goods we cannot supply.
5. PRICES
Prices displayed on our website are shown in the currency indicated on the website.
Prices may change from time to time.
A price change will not normally affect an order that we have already accepted.
We take reasonable care to ensure prices are correct. If an obvious pricing error occurs, we may contact you before dispatch to offer you the choice of:
- purchasing at the correct price; or
- cancelling the affected item or order for a refund.
We will not knowingly rely on an obviously incorrect price.
6. TAXES, DUTIES AND INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
Applicable taxes are dealt with according to the destination and the tax treatment shown at checkout.
For some international destinations, additional import taxes, customs duties, handling charges or similar fees may apply.
Where our Shipping Policy expressly states that we cover a particular charge, we will do so in accordance with that policy.
Otherwise, charges imposed by the destination country may be payable by the recipient.
Please see our Shipping Policy for further information.
7. PAYMENT
We accept the payment methods displayed during checkout.
Payment services may be provided by Shopify or other payment processors.
You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method submitted with your order.
We may carry out or rely upon fraud-prevention and payment-verification checks where reasonably necessary.
8. PROMOTIONS, MULTIBUYS AND DISCOUNTS
From time to time we may offer:
- promotional prices
- discount codes
- multibuy discounts
- bundles
- discounted add-ons
- free gifts
- other promotional offers
Individual promotions may have additional terms.
Promotions:
- may run for a limited period
- may apply only to qualifying products
- may require a minimum quantity or order value
- may not be combinable with other offers unless stated
- may be withdrawn or corrected where there is an obvious error, subject to orders already validly accepted
Where the price of products depends on a multibuy, bundle or qualifying purchase, a partial return may cause the retained items to be recalculated in accordance with the terms of the promotion.
Please see our Returns & Refunds Policy for details of how this affects refunds.
9. DELIVERY
Our delivery methods, estimated delivery times and charges are explained in our Shipping Policy and at checkout.
Delivery dates and times are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise.
Orders placed before our stated dispatch cut-off may qualify for same-working-day dispatch, subject to the terms shown in our Shipping Policy.
Events outside our reasonable control may occasionally affect delivery.
UK distance-selling rules generally require goods to be delivered within 30 days unless a different delivery period has been agreed with the customer.
10. RISK AND OWNERSHIP
Risk in the goods passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or to a person you have nominated to receive them, subject to applicable consumer law.
Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full for them.
11. RETURNS, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Our Returns & Refunds Policy explains:
- our voluntary 30-day UK returns policy
- UK statutory cancellation rights
- EU withdrawal rights
- return postage
- return condition requirements
- damaged or faulty products
- promotional and multibuy recalculations
- refund processing
UK customers buying online generally have a statutory right to cancel qualifying purchases within 14 days of delivery, subject to legal exceptions.
Nothing in our voluntary returns policy replaces or limits statutory consumer rights.
12. FAULTY, DAMAGED OR MISDESCRIBED GOODS
If goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, contact us so we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy.
UK consumer law provides statutory protections for goods, including requirements relating to satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and correspondence with description.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
13. CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS
Where customer accounts are available, you are responsible for:
- providing accurate information
- keeping your account details current
- maintaining the security of your login credentials
- notifying us if you reasonably believe your account has been compromised
You must not use another person's account without authorisation.
We may suspend an account where reasonably necessary because of suspected fraud, misuse, security concerns or unlawful activity.
14. WEBSITE INFORMATION
We try to keep website information accurate and current.
From time to time, the website may contain:
- typographical errors
- outdated information
- technical errors
- incorrect availability information
- incorrect promotional information
Where we identify an error, we may correct it.
We will not use this section to avoid obligations created by information that forms part of a consumer contract.
Information that UK law requires us to provide before a contract is made can itself become part of that contract.
15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise stated, the website and its original content — including our:
- branding
- graphics
- photographs
- product photography
- illustrations
- written content
- website design
- logos
- original artwork
are owned by or licensed to PokéProtection Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may use the website for personal, non-commercial shopping and informational purposes.
You may not reproduce, commercially exploit, distribute or create unauthorised derivative works from our protected content without permission.
Third-party trademarks and intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.
16. REVIEWS, COMMENTS AND USER CONTENT
If you submit a review, photograph, comment or other content to us, you confirm that:
- you have the right to submit it
- it does not knowingly infringe another person's rights
- it is not unlawful, threatening, defamatory or fraudulent
- it does not contain malicious software
Where you deliberately submit content for publication, you grant us a non-exclusive right to display and reproduce that content for the purpose for which it was submitted.
We may moderate or remove content where reasonably necessary because it is unlawful, abusive, irrelevant, fraudulent or infringes another person's rights.
We will not claim unrestricted ownership of private customer correspondence merely because you contacted us.
17. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
Our website may use or link to services operated by third parties, including payment, delivery, returns, analytics, advertising and social-media providers.
Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the content or operation of an unrelated third-party website merely because our website links to it.
This does not exclude responsibility we may have for third parties we use to perform our own contractual obligations.
18. PERSONAL DATA
Our handling of personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Our use of cookies and similar technologies is also subject to the privacy and cookie information provided on our website.
19. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY
We do not promise that the website will always be available without interruption.
We may temporarily suspend or restrict access for reasons including:
- maintenance
- technical problems
- security
- updates
- circumstances outside our reasonable control
Where possible, we will try to minimise disruption.
This does not affect obligations relating to orders we have already accepted.
20. OUR LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- faulty or misdescribed goods where liability cannot legally be excluded
- breach of statutory consumer rights
- any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted
UK consumer-contract terms cannot simply remove a trader's responsibility for faulty goods, goods that are not as described or other protected consumer rights.
If you are purchasing as a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for loss or damage that:
- was not foreseeable
- was not caused by our breach
- results from your misuse of a product contrary to instructions or warnings
- relates solely to business or commercial losses where you purchased as a consumer
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
21. BUSINESS PURCHASES
If you purchase products wholly or mainly for business, trade or resale purposes, different legal rules may apply from those applying to consumers.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to provide business purchasers with consumer-only statutory protections.
If we enter into a separate wholesale, trade or business agreement with you, that agreement may contain additional or different terms.
22. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control where we could not reasonably have prevented the effect.
Examples may include:
- severe weather
- transport disruption
- postal or carrier disruption
- fire or flood
- power or telecommunications failure
- industrial action
- government action
- major cyber incidents
- disruption to essential third-party infrastructure
We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect where possible.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
23. CHANGES TO OUR WEBSITE OR SERVICES
We may update, modify or discontinue parts of the website or our product range.
This does not allow us to unilaterally change an existing consumer contract in a way that would unlawfully disadvantage you.
CMA guidance warns that consumer terms which give a trader excessively broad unilateral rights can be unfair.
24. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The version applying to a purchase will normally be the version in force when the relevant order was placed, unless a change is required by law or expressly agreed with you.
Changes to these Terms will be published on this page together with an updated revision date.
25. SEVERABILITY
If a court or competent authority finds that part of these Terms is unlawful or unenforceable, the remainder will continue to apply so far as legally possible.
26. WAIVER
If we do not immediately enforce a right under these Terms, that does not mean we have permanently waived that right.
27. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms and contracts between us are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections provided by the law of the country in which you live, where those protections legally apply.
Nothing in these Terms removes any right you may have under applicable law to bring proceedings in a court that has jurisdiction over your consumer dispute.
28. COMPLAINTS
If you have a problem with an order or our service, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it.
